DIY- Do It Yourself
DIY is important to the hobby because many times new innovations are formed this way. Most importantly, it saves money, and unless you have a great job and way too much money on your hands it will help you greatly to know how to do things for yourself.
The important thing to remember when diving into the world of DIY is : SAFETY IS FIRST! If you’re working on something that has an electrical cord, uplug it. If something besides plain water could splash in your face, wear safety glass or goggles. If you’re messing with a chemical, wear appropriate eye wear and don’t forget the gloves! Always read up on what you’re doing as much as you can before you attempt and don’t be afraid to ask people questions. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!
