http://www.amazonmoosey.com/swampwood1.htm is the best place for driftwood, bar none. You can see the exact piece you are buying and its measurements! It’s AmazonMoosey’s site and Swampy’s driftwood, and they’re both great people.

http://www.thatpetplace.com/ is a great place for hard to find parts and general dry goods. Usually if other places don’t have it, they do. I usually get my filtermax III prefilters here.

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/ are professionals. They don’t always have the best price on stuff, but they run pretty decent specials, especially on hardware.

http://www.aquariumgarden.com/index.php is pretty much the only online plant retailer I would recommend to anyone, point blank. There are a LOT of online retailers, but there are a LOT that overcharge shipping, send you dead plants and then make refunding a hassle, send you plants you don’t want in place of plants they don’t have, or that won’t answer the phone, email, or faxes when you have a problem. This is not such a place, and one of the few ones I have found that is not.

http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/ is the link I like to give to the UK hobbyist that is having problems finding dry chemical fertilizers. They have that, plus what looks to be a lot of good hardware. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them from people I know in the UK.

http://www.kensfish.com/ is the best site for food and specialty food I know of. If you can’t feed almost every fish you own with what can be found on this site, something is wrong. I like the sponge filters he sells too, and he has some good shipping supplies. Kensfish also sells their own brand of filter media which can replace more costly brands of media in your filter, such as filter sleeves for magnum canister filters.

http://www.bestaquariumregulator.com/ferts.html is THE place for dry fertilizers.

http://www.ahsupply.com/ is one you’ll see a lot on forums. They sell retrofits so you can customize your own fluorescent lighting! Reflectors, wiring and other hardware, as well as power compacts bulbs can be had here. Known for their exceptional customer service.

Atlanta light bulbs can be summed up in just a few words : GE’s 9325k power compact bulb for $14.19 . I love those bulbs.

No more fleas please : It’s not aquarium related, but it’s still useful enough for me to notice and commenton. It’s Advantix, Frontline Plus, and Advantage flea and tick medicine for dogs or cats IN BULK.  I just got the K9 Advantix kit and it came with 4 ml of Advantix, an amber colored glass vial w/ lid, a 1 ml dispenser, reminder stickers, and instructions. You take the 4 ml tube of advantix and squirt it into the amber vial. You take the needle-less syringe that is included and measure the amount per instructions. For my dogs, it’s 0.4 ml each, and I have four dogs. I can buy 40 doses from this website, or ten months worth with four dogs this size, for less than buying one 12 pk. of K9 Advantix for dogs 2-10 pounds ( green). It’s the EXACT SAME MEDICINE. They let you squirt it into the vial yourself so you can see the packaging and know it’s the real stuff, and not outdated or something. It has the lot number on it and you can contact the manufacturer if you want to see how old it is! $105 for a 12 pack of K9 advantix online ( cheapest I could find), or 10 doses for $22.99 , for dogs 2-10 pounds. HELOOOOO?? They have a 4 dose for dogs 11-20 pounds for the same price, but it’s the exact same 4 ml bottle and kit as the 10 dose for dogs 2-10 pounds and only the instructions are different. All dogs use the same formula of Advantix, the only thing that changes is the amount you measure and use.

I can’t say enough about this site. If you’re paying $400+ a year on K9 advantix for your dogs, like I would be otherwise, check this site out and look at their kits.  They have cat kits as well. My $420 + a year turned into $114.95. It’s a no-brainer, in my opinion.
